millions of people watch this show thinking the creators come up with all these jokes themselves. they should be required to have a bibliography at the end of every episode.

Joey, no offense, but it's called parody.

Rats, no offense, but parody implies that you change something in the effort to make light of it or make it funnier, but Family Guy takes the exact clip they're "parodying" and just puts Family Guy characters in place of the originals, the more I follow up on Family Guy's "references" the more I find that they're wasting too much of their talent on this crap and not enough on the good parts of the show that they can come up with themselves. I guess if you fill an episode up with crap like this that people will laugh at regardless of whether they know where it came from or not, then you don't have to be very clever.

Isn't the point to make people laugh? No laughs, and you become The Simpsons.
